Today I’m sharing a project I made for this week’s Global Design Project #278, which is a sketch challenge.
I just got a new bundle and coordinating Designer Series Paper in and thought I’d play with it and share a sneak peek! The new Butterfly Brilliance bundle will be available to purchase on March 2nd, but as a Demonstrator, we get to preorder during February. Slimline cards are very popular right now and I just love making them! The mat layer on top of my Coastal Cabana card base is the backside of the new Natural Touch Specialty Paper available while supplies last (March 2nd – May 3rd) I used strips of the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ DSP (also while supplies last) to mimic the stripes in the sketch. Because they aren’t long enough to stretch the length of the card, I offset them some to add interest.
My circle for the focal point is Vellum Cardstock for a subtle layer, and of course I had to add Wink of Stella to my little butterflies. I die cut these out of the DSP and used on of the detailed dies to layer on top of the same sized, solid butterfly. This set of dies so versatile and lovely. The whole suite of products is just gorgeous!
