Hi Everyone!

Today’s project is a fun tealight holder that I made for one of my Holiday Craft Fairs. The Dashing Deer bundle paired with the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper is pure perfection. Stay tuned for more samples in the upcoming weeks. I have a weakness for holiday plaids.

I used the star patterned paper and cut a Stitched Oval for my tag base. To create the snow, I cut another half of an oval out of the new White Velveteen Specialty paper and then used my paper snips to create a hillside. I popped it up with some dimensionals to give it a little shadow effect.

My two deers are stamped onto Whisper White cardstock with Versamark ink and embossed with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and cut out using the Detailed Deer thinlits. My accents are snowflakes cut from White Velveteen paper using the upcoming Snowfall thinlits (remember that sneak peek I mentioned?! I’ll post more info below). I added Rhinestones to the snowflakes for a little bling effect. They stick to the velvet paper wonderfully.

Once my scene was complete I decided it needed something more. I cut the Scalloped Oval out of Galvanized Specialty Paper and it was perfect! I punched a hole in the top of the tag and wove my Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon through it so that I could tie the bow on the front. Doing this also ensures the tag won’t flop around on the front of the glass candle holder. A pair of these will look lovely on a mantle or entry table.

Want more information about the sneak peek? Starting November 1st, Stampin’ UP! is releasing a limited time bundle called Snowflake Showcase. It is absolutely gorgeous! There are 2 stamp sets, 1 thinlit set, White Velvet (flocked) Specialty Paper and Snowflake Trinkets! As a Demonstrator, I get to order new items a month early so that I can share samples and information with you.

Do you want to be able to order new items early, too? I’d love to have you join my team of #winenotcrafters – Get more information here.

Thanks for stopping by – I hope you enjoyed my tealight holder!

Happy Crafting,

Kurstan
