I am in full-on Holiday Crafting mode. I have a table event this weekend and have been busy in preparation.
Today, I’m going to share with you a super fun and super cute giftable. These are perfect for your co-worker, neighbor, mail person, child’s teacher… well, pretty much ANYONE! And they’re SO easy to make!
These little boxes come together so easily. I found the pattern on Erica Cerwin’s YouTube channel. She makes some amazing 3-D items!
You can get five boxes out of one sheet of Cardstock – very economical!
Cut your cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″. You’re then going to score twice on the short side and twice on the long side:
Long side: 1″ and 2″
Short side: 1″ and 2 3/4″
My accent papers are cut to 1″ x 3 3/4″ and 1 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ .
Once I have my main piece scored, I cut on the lines I need to fold up.
Once I snip my 1″ lines and score everything, I flip it over and add my Tear and Tape to the four squares I need to fold up. You want to make sure you use a super tacky, strong adhesive on 3-D items so they don’t come a part when you add in the weight from the treat or gift.
I removed my backing from my Tear and Tape and folded my box up to look like this:
Then I used my snips to trim the sides at an angle. There’s no special measurement for this. If you start at the top corner and go to the front of the bottom basket, it works out perfectly!
After the box is put together I glue my accent pieces on and decorate it. I decorated this one with a witches hat from the Toil and Trouble bundle. Then I tied a bow using black bakers twine and a new Spider Trinket (jump ring included!). This suite is so fun and versatile and I absolutely LOVE that the framelits cut out images from the stamp set and the DSP!!
I put the cute sanitizer into a 3″ x 6″ cello bag and tie it up with an adorable, coordinating ribbon and tag!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Crafting,
Kurstan
