The last couple of weeks have been very busy, as I have been preparing for classes, my upcoming Stampin’ BINGO event and my table in the El Sobrante Stroll that is next weekend. I’ll share some of my prepped projects soon!

I forced myself to take a mini break from prep this week, though, to participate in the Global Design Project Challenge #154. This week’s challenge is a sketch.

I have been itching to play with new goodies from the Holiday Catalog so for this challenge, I reached for my Country Home stamp set and Country Lane Designer Series Paper. This suite can be found on page 43 of the Holiday Catalog.

This DSP speaks to me – I just love the colors used. My card uses Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron and Crushed Curry. Blackberry Bliss just might be my current, favorite color.

My card came together very easy. I stamped my pitcher and foliage in Memento Black on a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock and used my Stampin’ Blends to color it in. After it was colored, I fussy cut it out.

My layered pieces are:

Card Base – Mint Macaron: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
Mint DSP – 4″ x 5 1/4″
Curry DSP – 1 1/4″ x 4″
Whisper White – 2″ x 3 1/2″
Blackberry Flag – 1 1/4″ x 1 1/2″

I stamped my sentiment from the Country Home set in Memento Black on my Whisper White piece. I used one of the stitching framelits from the Stitched All Around bundle to add interest to my Crushed Curry DSP. I also added a dabbing of shimmer with the new Frost White Shimmer Paint. I just shook the pot and used a sponge dauber to get some paint from the lid. A little goes a long way! And it’s SO pretty!

A few Artisan pearls, a new galvanized clip and a lovely bow made with the Mint Twine from the Nature’s Poem quartet of Twines finished off my card nicely. I had the joy of stamping with a few Luv 2 Stamp teammates this weekend, and learned the trick of unraveling it to make it more pliable and softer from Cindee.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Crafting,
