Welcome to our October Blog Hop – We are members of Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Group and are excited you’re joining us!

There is no theme each month and I was so excited about a previous card I made using a sketch, featured in my previous post, that I decided to use the sketch for another card.

Some fun, new Holiday Catalog products arrived in the mail this week and couldn’t wait to play with the Bring on the Presents bundle. I just LOVE the bow die.

My card base is a side fold, which means I scored on the short side at 5 1/2″ instead of scoring on the long side at 4 1/4″. I used Coastal Cabana for my base and the rest of my measurements are:

Coastal Cabana polka dots:  4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
Gorgeous Grape Cardstock: 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
Grapefruit Grove Cardstock: 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
Whisper White Cardstock: 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″

All of my bows and the Coastal Cabana mat are cut from the new 6×6 Color Family Paper Stacks. These are so great to have on hand and I find myself using them alot! Coastal Cabana and Gorgeous Grape are in the Brights pack and Grapefruit Grove is in the 2018-2020 In Color pack.

I cut my bows out of the designer papers and the coordinating card stocks so that I could piece the insides of the bows back in with the solid color. To do this, I used one bow that I was discarding and traced around it on white copy paper. I then cut out the bow and glued it to the back of my designer bow so I had something to glue the inside pieces to.

When placing my bows in a row, I found that all three wouldn’t fit on the card without overlapping. To fix this, I glued my Grapefruit and Grape bows down to the Whisper White Cardstock and then used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up my Coastal bow, overlapping the other two bows just a bit.

My card is finished off with a piece of the new Gorgeous Grape 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon and a sentiment from the Bring on the Presents stamp set, stamped in Basic Gray. I also used Wink of Stella on my three bows… because… shimmer!!

I hope you enjoyed my card and all of the items used can be purchased in my online store by following the links throughout the post.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Crafting,
