Today I am sharing a card I made for the Global Design Project Challenge #238. This weeks challenge was a sketch challenge.
I missed finishing my post by the deadline, though, so it wasn’t submitted to the challenge. That’s ok – I know you’ll love it as much as I do!
I was drawn to the gradient background of the sketch so that’s where I started with my creation. I used multiple blue sets of my Stampin’ Blends to create a gradient background using the black & white striped Designer Paper from the Botanical Prints Product Medley. I adore black & white prints – they are so elegant and offer so much potential. This medley has some great prints – and because it’s retiring at the end of the month, it’s on sale right now!!
I stamped my images from the Seaside Notions Stamp Set in Memento Black ink and colored them with Stampin’ Blends. I used most of the same blues and added in a Light Purple Posy to the center of my sand dollar. The Purple Posy and Seaside Spray blended wonderfully.
I used some Seaside Spray metallic ribbon and rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels pack to add a little sparkle to a mostly matte card. They added the perfect touch!
This card makes me want to go to the beach! How about you?
