I had my Animal Love card workshop this past weekend and we used two of the new bundles in the Annual Catalog: Animal Outing and Sea of Textures. Both of these are so fun!
The card I’m sharing with you today was actually CASEd (copy and save everything) from a Stampin’ Success Magazine! I bet you’re asking yourself where you can find it. Am I right? Well… drumroll… It’s exclusive! Yep! You can only get it by being a Stampin’ UP! Demonstrator. Once a quarter we get a yummy, exclusive publication with TONS of tips, tricks and samples to share with you! Want in on the exclusive perks? I’d love to have you on my team!
This card was so fun to make! My base is Crumb Cake cut to 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored on the long side at 5 1/2″. My DSP is from the Tropical Escape 6×6 stack and cut to 4 1/4″ x 5″. My sentiment banner is cut to 3/4″ x 4″ from Lemon Lime Twist and there’s also a 4″ square of Lemon Lime Twist hiding behind the foliage. I stamped my giraffes in Memento Black, colored them with my Stampin’ Blends and cut them out with the matching thinlits.
I used a layering circle framelit to cut the window from my DSP. I turned my DSP over to add my adhesive. Since I needed it to hold cardstock and the Leaf Ribbon, I chose my trusty Tear Tape. This is SUPER sticky and never fails to get the job done. I added the tape in half moon shapes on the top and the bottom to ensure my foliage covered my entire opening. Then, I fastened my ribbon at the top and bottom and trimmed it off each time. I didn’t wrap or ‘loop’ it because I wanted to minimize the bulk behind the layer.
Once I was finished with the foliage, I used the Lemon Lime Twist square to cover it up in back, adding more green to the window. Then, I used my Stampin’ Dimensionals all around the layer and added it to my Crumb Cake card base. I just love this card!
Thanks for stopping by!
