Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome!

I’m hopping along with the Falling for the Holidays {BYSH} Cardmakers Linky Party today! I hope you’ll join us – there’s so much fun inspiration to see!

Today’s project features the Decorated Pines dies and the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper. For added texture, I used a piece of flocked snow vellum from the Snowflake Specialty Vellum and the largest frame die in the Lovely Frames die set. This frame will also make a great shaker card – but that’s to come!

When I was working with the bough die, I envisioned my Christmas Tree sitting next to a window and me in a chair, close by, looking out. Under the frame I used the woodland patterned paper in the DSP pack and the snow vellum as an overlay to give me the feeling of looking out at into the wintry night.

I used two shades of green cardstock to mimic the varying tone of branches: Evening Evergreen and Mossy Meadow.

I love using the various patterns of vellum in this package! You get a sheet of each pattern in flocked and iridescent foil. They’re so pretty!

I also used one of the patterns in the DSP package to die cut the ornaments from. I added a foam sheet to the back before die cutting so that the entire image has even dimension. Trying to get a pesky dimensional under there without it peeking through did not sound fun! The foam adhesive sheets are definitely my “easy button” and one of my favorite adhesives!

I hope you enjoyed my project! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ll hop along with us today for the Falling for the Holidays {BYSH} Cardmakers Linky Party!
