Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2021 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you this year, we hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products. Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants, you can click on their name to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line. Happy crafting! This month’s theme is Red, White & Blue.
My project for this month will be sent to my niece, who will be graduating Basic Training this summer. I am so proud of her.
When I think of Red, White & Blue, I also think of stars; so using the Stitched Stars die cuts made perfect sense for my card. I even upped my bling game to send her something extra special!
I used Designer Series Papers from the color family 6″ x 6″ stacks in Regal and ’20-’22 In Colors to get stripes in Real Red and Misty Moonlight. My middle stripe is the Pattern Party Host Reward paper pack. The back sides (or “b” sides) are all black and white prints! I love how the varied patterns are subtle but add a nice touch to the project.
I love flashy cards that come together so simply! Wink of Stella, Rhinestones and the Metallic Mesh ribbon add the perfect amount of flair to share with my niece.
Fun Tips!
Layer your stars to keep certain colors from getting washed out. I added a white star to my Real Red star to make it pop! off the card!
Is the Metallic Mesh Ribbon a bit overwhelming at one and a half inches? I thought so, too, at first! I layered it onto the back of my sentiment and trimmed off some of the excess to make it a more manageable size and a perfect, sparkly layer!
I hope you enjoyed stopping by today! Don’t forget to keep hopping along to see all of the other amazing creators and their fun projects this month!
