Hi Crafty Friends!

I had my first online card class & BINGO this weekend and it was SO fun!! I’m ready to start planning the next one – who’s in? Save June 27th – I hope you’ll join us!

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and we’ve been sheltering in place since March 16th – I figured all of my crafty friends needed a Tropical Getaway, so that’s just what we did! I created 6 fun projects for everyone to make using the amazing Tropical Oasis Suite (which is going away soon – don’t forget to stop by my shop and get the items you love before their gone!) Thankfully, the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set and Tropical Oasis dies will stick around – but I will TRULY miss the fantabulous Designer Series Paper, Memories & More cards and Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder. I’m not gonna lie – when I finally bring myself to move them out of my space, I might shed a tear. Or two.

OK, OK – enough of the sadness. I bet you’re ready to see the super fun projects we made!

The first card was so easy it’s scary – But HOW cute is this?! The patterned “paper” is actually a 4″ x 6″ Memories & More card – easy peasy! I used the label dies from the Stitched So Sweetly metal die set to layer with the palm trees and I just love it!

The second card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest that immediately reminded me of Aeropostale – you know, the store! When I was younger, their clothes were all the rage. The California attitude, the colors, the palm trees. Everyone loved them. Granted, I didn’t grow up in CA – though I live here now. This card gives me all the beachy vibes! I made the first one in blues and when I was finished, I thought “This could be pink, too!” So, everyone got to make TWO! Fun, right?!

This card is just so relaxing to me. The colors blend so well together. I am very sad that the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder is retiring at the end of the month. VERY sad. Don’t wait to add this to your cart if it’s absence will sadden you, also.

The fourth project is this amazing fun fold card. The base of this card was created by Rachel Tessman, a fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. She made a gorgeous card using the Botanical Prints Medley and I just had to make this fun fold for myself! I think it’s just perfect with the Tropical Oasis DSP, also! Don’t you?!

The fifth project made my day! Tall & Skinny cards are very in right now!! So, of course, I wanted to make one! The card base for this is 7 1/2″ x 9″ and I scored it at 3 1/2″ on the short side. I also used Whisper White Thick Cardstock for stability. I used my 2″ circle punch to make the windows and then my 2 1/4″ circle punch for the DSP underneath. This card will ship in a standard business envelope (#10).

There was also another BONUS project that everyone made… but that’s just for them. Be sure to join us next time for all of the fun!!
