My project for today’s hop is sure to help you share cheer for the New Year!

I used Basic Black for my card base and Basic Gray for my mat, cut at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″. I die cut two of the flutes from my mat and then used that as a template to stamp my glasses onto my piece of Whisper White cardstock. The die cut is just a hair bigger than the stamped image, so it works wonderfully.

Next, I flipped my mat over and adhered my window sheet to the back, with Tear Tape, ensuring that both flutes were covered. This is going to help hold in your shaker bits. Still working on the backside of your mat, add your foam strips around your flutes ensuring that there are not gaps in your outline. This is the second step in ensuring your shaker bits stay put.

Once your flutes are outlined, you’ll want to add more foam strips to the outline of your mat to maintain the same depth across the card.

Set your mat aside and bring back your Whisper White piece that is stamped with your flutes. I have found that the easiest way to line this up is to add your shaker bits (I used the Woven Threads Sequins mix) to your stamped image. You can center the sequins on the glasses and then when ready, remove the release tape from your flutes (Basic Gray met) and set them right down onto your stamped piece. Everything lines up because you can see your images through the window sheet!

Now that you have your shaker bits contained, remove the remaining release tape, add some liquid glue to the Whisper White cardstock and adhere your mat to your Basic Black card base.

To finish the front of your card, you’ll stamp your sentiment, trim it down and adhere it. Die cut the ‘cheers’ from Silver Glimmer Paper and adhere it. I also added more sequins to the tops of the glasses to mimic bubbles.

This card was super fun to make and is sure to WOW your New Years’ Hostess!

These are two of my absolute favorite bundles in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog are the Sip Sip Hooray bundle and the Cheers to That bundles!! Both of these stamp/metal die combos are staple items that will come in handy ALL year long!

These bundles are also retiring and won’t be available after January 2nd! Don’t let them slip by without adding them to your crafting arsenal!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have fun hopping with us today!!

Happy Crafting,

Kurstan
