Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s finally slowing down for the summer and I couldn’t be more ready. This year has been a whirlwind so far. My crafting events have taken off at light-speed! I’m not complaining, by any means.. but I am looking forward to taking a little bit of time for myself and my family this summer.

Things slowing down also means I can get back to some project challenges and blogging. My poor blog has suffered, for sure.

With my June events (almost) behind me, I was able to steal a few moments to sit down and play with something from the new catalog. I have been dying to play with this bundle since seeing it at OnStage in April. Oh my gosh, you guys – DINOSOAURS!!

The new DINORAWR Suite is absolutely perfect – there’s shades for boys and shades for girls and, well, Dinos.

Aren’t these just adorable?!?! You can bet there will be more fun stuff coming your way with these products!

For now, my first project was inspired by the Global Design Project’s Theme Challenge (GDP #195) – Balloons! I knew I wanted to play with these Dinosaurs and that I needed to incorporate balloons… so what better reason than to create a card to celebrate!

This card was so fun to make! I just love the new In Color, Pretty Peacock, and it’s in this lovely suite so I grabbed the new Noble Peacock Foil and used the Pretty Peacock and Old Olive sheets to punch out balloons for my Dino friend.

I just love these colors and I know you will, too!

An extra touch that I added was to emboss the Stitched Nested Label with my Subtle 3D Embossing folder. I stamped my sentiment first, but you can emboss with this and stamp on top of it because it adds just the most subtle design on your paper. It’s perfect!

A few notes about my card:
  • Pretty Peacock Card Base
  • Mango Medley Mat, cut to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Dinoroar Designer Paper Mat, cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″

All of the products used can be found below and purchased in my online store!

Thanks so much for stopping by, today! I hope you love this little guy as much as I do!

Happy Crafting,

Kurstan
